Eddy, This is off topic for the list, but: If by "attribute literal" you mean an attribute value literal, "/" is allowed in CDATA attribute values. When you're not performing DTD validation, all attributes are considered CDATA. (Back on topic: it would be kind of tough for XSL if "/" were not allowed in an attribute value.) This is the kind of thing that's pretty easy to test if you have a parser you trust. --Wendell At 09:11 AM 5/9/00 -0400, you wrote: >Hello there! > >Due to time constraints, and a anal retentive Senior Engineer I have an >argument to >settle. > >The Senior Engineer says the following about allowing a certain value in an >attribute. > > I have reviewed the documentation on the XML Attribute literal and can not >find >any restriction on the "/". > > >I say that it is not allowed, but I don't have the time to go look for it, >can >anyone help me out? > >Thanks > >Eddy ====================================================================== Wendell Piez mailto:wapiez@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Mulberry Technologies, Inc. http://www.mulberrytech.com 17 West Jefferson Street Direct Phone: 301/315-9635 Suite 207 Phone: 301/315-9631 Rockville, MD 20850 Fax: 301/315-8285 ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Mulberry Technologies: A Consultancy Specializing in SGML and XML ====================================================================== XSL-List info and archive: http://www.mulberrytech.com/xsl/xsl-list
