The only problem with XML spy is terrible amount of bugs in the
program itself. When you see such buggy product, you are always
questioning the quality of everything else in the product
(like standards support etc.) However, it works as a nice replacement
for notepad (assuming you started xml spy before you open the first
file. Otherwise, it's entering "zombi" mode and should be killed 
before any file can be opened from Explorer)
This is my personal opinion.
