Subject: RE: [xsl] How to use <a style="{font: 10pt arial}"> in XSL? Keep getting error. From: "Tim Watts" <timw@xxxxxxx> Date: Tue, 6 Mar 2001 17:43:10 +1100 |
I haven't long, as I am about to leave work - it is 5.35pm in Australia and I am getting a bit peckish... :) Class is supported in NN and Opera (safe) and partially in IE4 and above (unsafe in IE 3) The partial ratings in IE are no problem as it is because it accepts things that are not in the standard, rather than not accept any valid CSS for Class. To link use something like .... <link rel="stylesheet" href="newstyle.css"> within the head of a html body will link to a css called newstyle which is includes ... th { font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 9pt; font-weight: bold; color: #FFFFFF; background-color: #3333CC; text-align: left} .odd { background-color: #CCCCFF} .even { background-color: #FFFFFF} .qty { background-color: #CCCCCC} .qtyhead { background-color: #999999} .total { background-color: #CCCCCC} .search { background-color: #CCCCFF} where the .odd are classes which can be called by class="odd" in the body.. Gotta go Cheers, Tim -----Original Message----- From: owner-xsl-list@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:owner-xsl-list@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx]On Behalf Of Kevin Duffey Sent: Tuesday, 6 March 2001 5:22 PM To: xsl-list@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: RE: [xsl] How to use <a style="{font: 10pt arial}"> in XSL? Keep getting error. Two things.. First, the use of the word class="" is that MSIE specific, or part of the whole HTML 4.0 CSS standard? Second, once this is done like so, how do I use it on the XSL page? I am not at all a CSS developer, so I have no idea how to use it. I just want the simple link color/font/size capability. On another note, do you know if it is possible in MSIE/NS 4.0 or 5.0+ to replace "static" text dynamically with JavaScript/CSS? Basically, I want to update some Totals in real-time via JavaScript. When a user leaves a field, I want a JavaScript handler to run and total a few fields, and display that result in a specific table cell. Is this possible? If not, is it at least possible to change the value in an <input type="text"> box dynamically? Sorry for the non XSL related questions, but you seem to know a bit about CSS and I am about to rework our entire project because I can't seem to figure this one out.
