Yes, this is true. Although it is voluntery to subscribe to this or any other list... so the volume is not a prob, as far as I can see. But about
It's a problem if you care about alienating people who might be valuable contributors to the discussion. One of the people I know who refuses to subscribe is Uche Ogbuji, whose name may be known to many of you. FWIW.
