[xsl] xsl to HTML

Hi

In the following code I am trying to assign the value of the element
"/root/publication/fromdt" to the text field named "from_dt" I have tried the
following ways


<input style="width: 100px" maxlength="8" title="Choose Date" type="text" id
="From_Date" name="From_Date" value="{/root/publication/fromdt}" onFocus
="getCalendarFor(this); this.blur()" class="form"/>


<input style="width: 100px" maxlength="8" title="Choose Date" type="text" id
="From_Date" name="From_Date" value="{./
root/publication/fromdt}" onFocus="getCalendarFor(this); this.blur()" class
="form"/>


<input style="width: 100px" maxlength="8" title="Choose Date" type="text" id
="From_Date" name="From_Date" value="{./
root/publication/fromdt/text()}" onFocus="getCalendarFor(this); this.blur()"
class="form"/>


<input style="width: 100px" maxlength="8" title="Choose Date" type="text" id

I am new to XSL so I do not know where I am going wrong non of the above method
seem to work. I get blank. Kindly help.
