This XSL -- <xsl:choose> <xsl:when test="id_mensajesforos[@seleccionado='si']"> s </xsl:when> <xsl:otherwise> n </xsl:otherwise> </xsl:choose> correctly tests the attribute value, as you have mentioned.. But it is correct, only if it is evaluated in the right *context*..
