Not much, the original posted code was fine, any error was in some part of the code not shown (most likely the wrong current node, or wrong namespace). Your version does not test the attribute value at all, it tests if id_mensajesforos has a seleccionado attribute (with any value) and the content of the element has string value 'si'.
