If you look at either the DSSSL or DSSSL-O specs (pointers below) you
will find documentation of flow-objects and characteristics which
distinguishes inherited and non-inherited characteristics.  The former
can be specified on any flow object, and are . . . inherited.
`font-family-name' is inherited.
