I've seen a couple of stylesheets for DSSSL which convert TR/NOTE-XSL to DSSSL stylesheets which can then be applied to data. There's been a few messages on the perl-xml list over the last few days about getting an perl XSL implementation going, but it remains to be seen how far that will go or how soon.
