Subject: [stella] Clarification please From: Pete Holland <petehollandjr@xxxxxxxxx> Date: Thu, 29 Jul 1999 17:40:16 -0700 (PDT) |
Hey there. While running through the Stella manual again, a question hit me. It concerns machine cycles. I was under the impression that a machine cycle is the time it takes the machine to go through all it's instructions, not just programming, but hardware as well, such as switching colors for a strobe effect. But the Stella manual says that the programmer has 76 cycles per scanline to do its thing. I'm clearly missing something. What exactly constitutes a machine cycle? _____________________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
