I don't think so; I have two other F6 carts which detect and dump
properly, and I have been able to get my Decathlon to switch (albeit
somewhat eratically) by poking values into $1FE and $1FF.

I just can't make it do it reliably.  I believe my understanding of
the state machine inside the cart is not complete.
