So probably the best thing would be to somehow persuade you to do it.  Have
you seen the Megacart thread?  It is a discussion that happened in 1998, and
it begins here:

It's a very interesting design and it looks like it would be pretty easy to
implement.  A variation that would take half as many registers and allow
access to twice as much memory would be to make the banks 2K instead of 1K
which is a possibility that was discussed in the thread.  I don't think
anybody has acutally written games that need this much capability yet, but
having something along these lines available might be a *good thing*.  And
since games don't yet exist, you're free to implement things the way you
like.
