Didn't work. :-) I recall a computer called the Commodore Pet, upon which one could supposedly set a bit in the hardware which would cause the monitor to misbehave and die. Since the monitor was inbuilt to the computer, this was effectively blowing the machine up with software. Been 20 years since I heard about that one, though.
