Subject: Re: [Virtools] Virtools Dev 2 for immersive VR

Hi there

I created a VR installation for an audience who can control a VR scene using wireless devices
@ http://www.tinkering.net/wireless1.html
@ http://www.tinkering.net/projects.html

When people press the numeric pad of their device, they send inputs to swap between animations of the animated characters playing inside the VR scene. A receiver connected to the serial port of the computer sends ASCI inputs to a serial behavior that converts them into messages inside the Virtual World . This installation is made in Shockwave 3D with Director's serialXtra.

How can I do the same with Virtools ? Anybody tried this before ? Can I use several serial behaviors to read several ASCI inputs and to controlling the Unlimited Controller BB inside Virtools?
[Volker Helzle] I assume that using a wireless network device like an Ipaq in combination with the Virtools Behavioral Server would work pretty good here.
Thanks.
