Jade and TeX

I think I've installed all of the bits, but I'm having no luck with
jadetex. I've picked up hyperref, font files, etc. from all over the
internet. I hope both that they are all the right versions and that 
I put them in the right places. I just sort of guessed based on the 
extensions and the existing files with the same extensions.

I get two pages with two-inch square blocks that are totally unreadable.
I think it must be a font problem. But there are also problems with
LaTeX and "can't find ilu.aux". Thanks for any advice.
