| (which is what I would like to do). However, the chapter/section
| headings are marked with styles, but there does not seem to be a
| transition to some sort of "normal" style for the non-header text. So,
| both Word and Applix can't tell what is _not_ a header and generates ToC
| info for every paragraph.
When I format a document with the RTF backend and view it in Word 97,
I get the behavior I would expect (but not the behavior you seem to be
describing). Namely, if I click on a header, it says "Heading n" up
in the style field; if I then click on the following paragraph, it says
"Normal".
Am I correct that you're saying you don't see that behavior? What
version of Word are you using?
Cheers,
norm
