For me these errors went away when I added the file
`.../texmf/tex/latex/config/hyperref.cfg' that says:

\@ifundefined{pdfoutput}{\ExecuteOptions{dvips}}{\ExecuteOptions{pdftex}}
\endinput
---

Actually, I have three files, color.cfg, graphics.cfg, and hyperref.cfg,
all with this same content.
