My opinion:

Definitely no! Since there is no other way of changing
headers/footers/page-dimensions than
by starting a new simple-page-sequence, this is not desirable. Maybe a
solution with command-line-
options would suffice, but in general, the answer is no.

BTW: The specs make a definite point on that: See clause 12.6.3 Note 67!
