DCL documentation

Hi,
     Does anyone know where I can find documentation for the DCL files that Jade
uses.  I am using a generic DCL file that comes with Arbortext Epic, but it
appears to be causing funny things to happen with my DTD.  For instance, Jade is
expanding character entities, such as mdash, into their unicode representations.
I've created a new DTD, and this problem never happened before with my old DTD.

Any help would be appreciated.
