Subject: (dsssl) [ANNOUNCE] OpenSP 1.5 Released From: Ian Castle <ian.castle@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> Date: 24 Nov 2002 21:08:52 +0000 |
OpenSP 1.5 has been released. The OpenJade DSSSL processor is an application based on OpenSP. This is the current stable release replacing version 1.4. OpenSP comprises libosp (a cross platform library allowing a developer to include SGML and XML parsing and validating features in their own applications) and a number of tools for validating/parsing SGML and XML. This release incorporates a number of new features, details of which are in the release notes, NEWS file and ChangeLog file (in increasing level of detail) contained in the release. For those using OpenSP from CGI programs on a web server there is an important security enhancement contained in this release. The release is available from the project's download page at Source Forge. http://sf.net/projects/openjade Highlights of the release include: - Support for GCC 3.2 and newer build tools on UNIX platforms - Enhanced support for Annex K of ISO 8879 - Support for Amendment 1 of ISO 10744 - Improvements to the HTTP facility to support name based virtual hosts - UNIX man pages - Many other improvements This release has only been extensively tested on Linux platforms. Feedback (to openjade-devel@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx) on other platforms (especially Win32) would be appreciated. Thanks go to everyone who has contributed to this release. -- Ian Castle <ian.castle@xxxxxxxxxxxx> The OpenJade Project DSSSList info and archive: http://www.mulberrytech.com/dsssl/dssslist
