[jats-list] JATS Change Requests - Second Round of Requests Open

JATS Users --

The JATS Standing Committee has closed the first round of requests
for changes to the Standard and will publish decisions on
changes submitted through the end of August.

New Change requests will be considered the next time the Standing
Committee meets, which will be within three months.

While the Standing Committee will not submit a revised Standard to
NISO for approval yet, the Committee will:

 - publish decisions on all of the change requests to date
 - provide, as a convenience to users, unofficial versions of
   the unofficial supporting material that incorporates the
   accepted changes. This will include draft:
     - DTDs, XSDs, and RNGs
     - Tag Libraries
     - XML catalogs

When these materials are available we will announce them on JATS-List.
