Tacking onto whatbs already been saidbthe request was to get the BITS-defined <event> element into JATS and the committee opted to do that by including the containing element (<pub-history>). So this is a direct copy of the <pub-history> element from BITS, tag definition and all. The change reports are in the Tag Libraries (entry on left nav). The JATS4R working group discussions resulted in a request to the standing committee to allow for descriptions of publication events and so I thought that <event> in <pub-history> was for that purpose. I had wondered whether it was a copy/paste error in updating the documentation... Can you direct me to the change history documentation (ie the document that indicates updates to the most recent release), I cannot find it The new version of JATS is a long long way away :-) Thanks!
