What youre describing is effectively an untitled section:

</sec>
<sec>

    <p>New section starts here</p>
</sec>

How the break between sections is presented is more a matter of presentation
than semantics and might be addressed with media-specific processing
instructions. However, if your content experts tell you that the particular
symbol used is significant, you can use Unicode where its available (U+2042 =
asterism) or an inline image with appropriate alt-text.

Hi everyone,

first post to this list.

I have a text that uses empty lines between paragraphs (sometimes with a
dinkus or an asterism) to denote a thought break. How would you tag that? I
dont think theres a dedicated element, right? Any suggestions?

Best,
Denis
