Developers' Day at the Eighth International World Wide Web Conference will take place in Toronto, Ontario, May 14, 1999. Proposals for presentations in the XML/DOM track at Developers' Day are being accepted for one week only, April 2-9, 1999. XML and related standards constitute the future syntactic infrastructure of the Web. The XML/DOM track will present up-to-the-minute developments in Web-related technologies based on XML, XML Schemas, XLink/XPointer, XSL, and the DOM. Proposals featuring running code that has not previously been shown are of special interest and will be given priority in selecting the presentations. Co-chairs of the XML/DOM track this year are Jon Bosak of Sun Microsystems, Chair of the W3C XML Coordination Group, and Lauren Wood of SoftQuad Software, Chair of the W3C DOM Working Group. Proposals of 1-3 paragraphs clearly describing the presentation should be sent in plain text to both co-chairs: bosak@xxxxxxxxxxx, lauren@xxxxxxxxxxxx Submissions should be mailed no later than close of business Friday, April 9.
