To all of you who wish to see this unification work go forward I am writing
this to let you all know that the work is underway.

Last month both working groups voted to pursue this effort even if there
was an impact to the schedule.  Therefore, we will take a delay to our PR
schedule.

Thank you for your input.  I assure you that the W3C working groups are
paying attention and, in fact, this effort pre-dated any discussion of it
on the XSL public mailing list.
