Question:

Given that XSLT cannot include processing instruction (or comment) nodes
in the tree for the stylesheet, how would one correctly use <xsl:pi>??

I saw other threads using the same syntax to supposedly declare "XML
version="1.0" to the result tree and assumed it was correct.

Or have I completely missed something in my interpretation of the XSLT
spec?
