You want to get the attr whose name is "trap type". You can do this
with a predicate, as follows:
attrList/attr[name = 'trap type']
>From that attr element, you want to get the data element, which you
can do with:
attrList/attr[name = 'trap type']/data
So your sort should look like:
<xsl:apply-templates select="Event">
<xsl:sort select="attrList/attr[name = 'trap type']/data" />
</xsl:apply-templates>
