Hi Aananth,
The following XSL-FO syntax works.. 

But I am getting error "[ERROR]At least one of
minimum, optimum, or maximum IPD must be specified on
table" . I don't know the meaning of this error , 

but *the PDF is getting generated successfully*..

   <fo:table-column column-number="1"
column-width="proportional-column-width(2)" />
   <fo:table-column column-number="2"
