Thanks Michael for the guideline. How can I pass the text as a parameter in xslt 1.0? Can anyone help? Frederic, I don't mind using python but I am already using saxon. I would like to stick with it. Thanks anyway :-) -----Original Message----- From: Michael Kay [mailto:mhk@xxxxxxxxx] Sent: 21 November 2003 23:13 To: xsl-list@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Cc: 'Flemming Jønsson' Subject: RE: [xsl] XML generation from a text file You can do this using the unparsed-text() function in XSLT 2.0. In 1.0 you'll need to write an extension function (or pass the text in as a parameter).
