XSLT was split That does have a nice ring to it, thank you, Wendell, but IIRC, it was a no-brainer that Mulberry would start an XSL list given the then success of the DSSSList and since discussion of 'xml-style' was already taking place on the DSSSList. Also IIRC, the timing was mostly to do with the W3C XSL Working Group being established around that time. The DSSSList list guidelines post from January 1998 [1] describes the convention for a 'XS:' prefix for DSSSList posts about 'xml-style'.
