Thanks Martin. It makes more sense to use the standard functions of course.
But I'm still missing EXSLT's math:abs() and math:random(). I guess that's why I used that namespace in the first place.
I think the standardized random-number-generator https://www.saxonica.com/html/documentation/functions/fn/random-number-genera tor.html is now also supported in Saxon 10 HE.
