* AN ADMINISTRATOR AT PENNSYLVANIA STATE UNIVERSITY at
University Park has sent a stern e-mail message to students,
warning that sharing copyrighted material through the
Internet could lead to fines and imprisonment under federal
law. Some students wondered whether Penn State was bending to
pressure from the recording industry, but university
officials denied that, saying the message was merely part of
an educational campaign on file sharing.
