When in doubt, I feel you should always ask permission. We actually
don't know where the database retrieved the image from. Maybe they are
using it with someone's permission. Also, if it is a photo of a person,
there are privacy issues at play. That would be my best guess!

Does anyone know if there is a hard and fast rule about whether it's
necessary to get permission from a database to use a screenshot from it
in a tutorial that would be open to the outside world? Wouldn't this be
fair use and thus not require permission?
