Subject: [stella] Atari Patents From: Dan Boris <dan.boris@xxxxxxxx> Date: Wed, 13 Aug 1997 13:12:53 -0400 |
I found out about something interesting on the net the other day. http://patent.womplex.ibm.com/ This site is an archive of US patents from 1971 to present. Of special interest to us is #4623147: Process for Displaying a Plurality of Objects on a Video Screen. This patent describes how to display multiple copies of sprites on a 2600. A lot of the info is right out of the Stell Programmers Manual, but there appears to be a lot of other info there (I have not had a chance to read it through yet). There is also alot of other interesting information in the patents, if you are willing to search through the archives to find it.
