Brilliant. What more can I say?
Might as well stop development on my stuff, it pales.
Cheers

Hi,
some month ago Brian Prescot presented his Atari 2600 version of the game
Rush Hour. He called it Crazy
Valet.

>From the first moment I was fascinated by the game concept, so i followed
the links of his homepage and found a lot of interesting stuff.

Then I started to wonder, if it could be possible do pack much more
different puzzles into 4K. After I found a nice solution for that, I needed
a kernel to display it. At that moment, I decided to do my own version.

Now the game is about 90% complete (no sound with ~200 bytes free). I asked
Brian for his ok, because I didn't wanted to harm his trades. Gratefully he
said yes, and here I go... (Thank you Brian!!!)

JAMMED - An Exercise in Compression
-----------------------------------
This is my demo version of Rush Hour/Crazy Valet. It contains 6 difficulty
levels with 100 puzzles each, which gives a total of 600 different puzzles!
All puzzles are computer generated, and it took a PIII 800 some hours to do
so. In the demo version, you are only allowed to play the first puzzle of
each level, but at least you can look at the other 594 and see what you're
missing ;-)

Your task is to find way out for the yellow car. That's all ;-)

Controls:
---------
Joystick move the cursor
Fire move a car
Reset restart the current puzzle
Select select a level
Fire+Select select a random puzzle in current level

Use the LEFT DIFFICULTY switch to change the cursor
mode. Tell me please, which mode you like more, if I'm
running out of space I might have to drop one.

The RIGHT DIFFICULTY is currently not used, but it
will switch between PAL and NTSC soon (I hope :).

The left part of the score display counts down from the
minimum needed moves to the solution. The right part
shows the number of the current level.

This is not a new Thrust, but I hope you like this
version too. If you have any questions, just ask.

And please, don't stop buying Crazy Valet cards!

Have fun!
Thomas

BTW: I think, I'm the guy with the "secret plans", because, when I started
this project, I did talk about it to Manuel .
