I think it would be nice, if we could discuss 7800 programming here.
Being a dial-up user I prefer mailing-lists over web based forums.
But the 7800 homebrew scene currently isn't big enough to warrant
a list of it's own. There isn't much traffic on the Stella list
most of the time, and traffic for 7800 related discussion will be
much less than that. It will probably just be like discussing one
more game project that you have no interest in for the 2600-only
people.

The 7800 and the 2600 share several chips like the 6502, the TIA or
the RIOT. So things like sound programming, controller programming
or code optimisation would be overlapping between the two platforms
anyway. And it would be great to have the 2600 experts help the 7800
programmers to get startet. Also we already have had some 7800
related discussions here, like the signature key generator program.
That one wouldn't have been created without the cooperation of the
knowledgable people on this list.

As long as the 7800 homebrew community is so small, it would be
really nice, if it could share some resources like the Stella
mailing list with the 2600 homebrew scene. If 7800 progamming
ever takes off so much that the 7800 related posts here would
become a major annoyance to the 2600-only programmers here, we
could always go and seperate the two again by creating a special
7800 mailing list.

Ciao, Eckhard Stolberg
