There are instructions in the MagiCard manual for building an
adapter to connect a tape recorder to one of the VCS controller
ports. This device allows you to save and load your files on
audio tapes, just like with the homecomputers of that time.

Having 1K of RAM certainly is nice, but you only get 2K of ROM,
and the VCS doesn't leave you that much processing time for
generating lots of data on the fly. So I don't think the CV extra
RAM setup is usefull for many game ideas. Also most homebrew
programmers want to release their game in cartridge format.
Therefore they prefer to develop for bankswitching/RAM formats
for which homebrew boards already exist.
