This is something I have given thought to in the past. The only way it
would work is to have any new entries and edits to existing entries
approved by a trusted set of users, or at last rolled back to the last
good state if entries were "vandalized". This is what Wikipedia does
now.

Actually I was wondering about this too, but I with some of those
stupid bastards in the community around, I am not 100% sure it
will work for long. But it's definitely worth a try.
