One of the EPROM burners I have is the ChipMax from EE Tools. It works very well and has nice Windows software as well (which I highly recommend, as some programmers only have DOS apps). I've also had good luck with NeedHam products, but again, make sure you get one that has Windows software. That is, assuming you're using Windows. My primary machines are (now) OS X-based, but I have to leave a PC running full-time for OEM apps like that (Stamps.com is another..)

I might have asked this before, but here goes.

What do you recommend for a burner?

The Pocket Programmer II (http://xtronics.com/memory/EPROM.htm) works for me.
