Thanks; I had found a solution, and responded to the message Yngve had posted.
However, I forgot my reply would go directly to him, and not automatically to the list.

Here is that post (9/24/2000):

I ended up going to the ATI website ( http//support.atitech.ca )
and downloading the most current driver for the video card I had;
that seems to have helped.
It also cleared up another minor problem
(the perspective grid lines were screwy).

Also installed DirectX 7.0.
DirectX should have been installed already,
but the info with the card driver
claimed that DirectX7 (or higher)
would be required for proper function;
so I made sure.

This seems to be working ok,
although I have seen the mouse pointer get spastic a couple of times in NeMo.
When I closed out NeMo, the mouse seemed to be working fine in Windows.
And when I re-started NeMo, the mouse seemed to work fine.
Maybe minimizing NeMo and restoring it might have been enough?

(sshhh) because we shouldn't say NeMo? (although that's what my software still says when I start it up)
Or are you regarding NeMo as a "secret weapon" you don't want people to know you're using?
