Subject: Re: [Virtools] small poll

<wave> :-) A quick question while I'm here.
I have a camera following an object, I used the technique on
http://www.theswapmeet.com/marketplace/components.html
(followcam example) where there is a camera lag using a
frame, and the camera is kept at constant distance 0 from
the frame with attenuation of 20.

My problem is, I have a 3d object in front of the camera
(which is a child of the camera) and which I want to keep
in the same position relative to the camera (as it's part of the
interface).  For 'rotates' and 'translates' it works ok, but with
the 'keep at constant distance' behaviour the object moves about
around the camera and goes out of  view.  Does anyone know
of a way to fix this? (Or of a way of achieving camera lag without
using the 'keep at constant distance' behaviour).

Thanks.

Hello,
i had to solve a problem like yours, i controled the camera with a dummy and moved the
object, witch should have to do the same movings like the camera as child in the hierarchy
or try to move the object directly as child of the camera!

hope this gives you a solution!
bye, sten
