[Virtools] 3D Technology Comparison Chart

Hello everyone,

First of all, this list is going to be temporarily moderated until the
multiple postings cease, and the problem is finally identified and brutally
squelched. Sorry for those that got spammed by me and others...

Now onto more interesting tidbits. I got a message from William Winans that
I thought I would launch onto this platform:

I would like to start a topic in which users can compare NM competitors and
constructively focus opinions about NM, its strengths and weaknesses.  While
there are other technologies that are really good, I think we can help to
focus energy from the user base to keep it in the forefront.

Since this list is really for the core NM users and is widely read by
Virtools coders and scripters, I'd like to request your analysis of
competitive 3D technology. What's their strong points, their weaknesses,
etc? We can even handle constructive criticism....
