1. Simple paint your textures side by side in your square. You can use
Photoshop which everyone
has and/or Painter from Corel to give your texture a more individual look.
2. Look at the 3D Stud. Max tutorial in the Tutorial booklet at p. 139 where
they build and
texture a Low-Poly Spaceship.

Yes. Less wasted space in all your textures is a big plus for your
downloading clients.

Where can I find more info on texturing techniques for keeping small file
sizes?
