Saxon is an XSLT processor that supports standard XSLT 1.0 stylesheets, so you don't need anything special in your stylesheet to run it. However, Saxon also supports a number of extension functions. These are in a special Saxon-specific namespace, which you only need to declare if you use these extensions.
