It depends how you express it.  What was your sales pitch? what was
your proposed outline? express it as "This is how to typeset complex
XML documents", not as `DSSSL in 21 Days", and they still say no? it
also depends on the publisher!

people will buy the most extraordinarily obscure books, I assure
you. look at all the ones on TeX :-}
