The two best collections of DSSSL references that I know of the DSSSL section (http://www.sil.org/sgml/related.html#dsssl) of Robin Cover's SGML Web Page (http://www.sil.org/sgml) and James Clark's DSSSL page (http://www.jclark.com/dsssl). I don't know if you need something DSSSL-specific for what you're talking about. The case for using SGML and for using SGML to produce multiple outputs can, and has been, made for a lot of output processors. I don't even know if there is an example that is DSSSL-specific. You may find something under the SGML Web Page or you could try the SGML Open white papers under http://www.sgmlopen.org.
