Those who survived FOSI (and have the T-shirt to prove it) would acknowledge that it doesn't matter how much complexity you allow in the definition, the implementation is only going to support what the application developers feel is "realistic". While I believe that there are some deficiencies in CSS, I still remember the sound of FOSI belly-flopping due to top-heaviness.
