It's an understandable concern. Yet how many vendors are available to support the format you currently use? (I'm not familiar with Crystal Reports and its formats or interfaces.)

Even where you're not benefiting from XSL-FO per se, you may benefit from relying more generally on XML tech in your framework. That you have only a few vendors (!) to choose from to help you implement this particular layer does not speak to all the other advantages and opportunities XML/XSL will give you.

I bet it's only a matter of time. :->
