Hi, Sandy,

Another possibility is to approach the reprint publisher for rights. You probably have a much better chance of tracking someone down there who can help you.

The publisher was Burt Franklin, so I used the publisher records in Books in Print to help track down this company. According to BIP, Burt Franklin was either an imprint or subsidiary (I'm not sure which) of Lenox Hill Publishing & Distributing Corporation. Lenox Hill is now known as Digital Paperback, but is still in business. The BIP record for Digital Paperback has an editorial mailing address and a phone number:

35 Hills Ln.
Westport, CT 06880
Local Phone: 203-847-0528

Good luck with your search.

Note(s):

Reprint of the 1924 ed. published by Republic Pub. Co., New York.

It appears from her research that Republic Publishing Company has gone out of business, and she is unsure of how to proceed to gain permission to do this. Thanks for your assistance,

Sandy
