I was just to fixed to that other look to spend too much thoughts about that. Besides, when designing that game, I wasn't totally aware of some of the limitations and how difficult it is to draw with missiles. Ok, gameplay wise it'd be 100% the same I think. But there's some things to consider after the first thought. Here's what springs to my mind right now, there might be even more: positive aspects: - No flicker. - No problems with cactus _and_ coach. - More obstacles/hides e.g.: A rock and a cactus in a line. negative aspects: - It would be technically way less impressive. :-) - The cowby graphics will have to be from a birds eye view. - It wouldn't resemble the original too much. I just imagine the possible outcome being something with the look & feel of a 2 Player Commando / Ikari Warriors like deathmatch without scrolling in a fixed display area. Ok, I'd just like to ask all readers of the list now for some brainstorming. The questions are: Any more pros & cons I don't see? Which approach would you favour? Is flicker really _that_ dreadful?
